Cat

There was a cat outside that sort of followed me home. It was more on a mission of its own that happened to intersect with my path and somehow the cat ended up by my doorstep. I went inside to get it some meat, because cats like meat. They are carnivorous.

The only meat I could find was some sick-looking sandwich meat. It was wrapped in plastic and in a box, but the plastic was not closed. Therefore the meat was being exposed to the nasty fridge environment and had consequently became sick.

I tried to feed the cat the meat, but it just sniffed at it, then layed down on the sidewalk so that I would pet its belly.

Then I saw the cat again! It followed me to Lisa's, then stood looking at me while I stood inside and looked out at it. Then I went to try to get something for the cat.

"Oh, we can feed it the pork tenderloin!" Lisa exclaimed. She was super excited.

"Yeah..." I was sure that cats do not like pork. "That's what I'll feed it..."

Lisa wandered away and then I rushed to the fridge to find something better than pork tenderloin to give to the cat. What I found was some turkey. It was good turkey, not sick. It was wrapped up in plastic.

Again, the cat refused the meat! I grabbed its jaw and tried to thrust the turkey down its throat, but the cat would not take it. It pulled off some kind of move and got out of the massive hold I had on it. Then, it went and ran after a mother pushing her daughter in a stroller. I went back inside and cried myself to sleep.

An Update

Here is an update:

1) I am going to start blogging regularly. Maybe you will leave more comments.

2) I got accepted into the MFA program at San Francisco State University. I might do that. It would be a good time, I am sure.

3) I graduate from Wesleyan in exactly three weeks from today...and I thought the end would never come!

The Worst Thing

So the worst thing is when you are wearing a hoody, and then you have to scrub potoatoes or something like that. While you are scrubbing the potatoes, you get water on the cuffs, that little elastic-like thing at the ends of the arms of the hoody. I hate it when the cuffs get wet, because I never change the hoody (it is my favorite one) and then I can feel the wetness on my wrists for like two hours. It is the worst thing.

Blue Jay

I would never be a blue jay. Sure, they look badass with that little thing on their head that sticks out, like a plume on a medieval warrior's helmet, but those damn blue jays chase away the smaller guys: the starlings, the finches, the squirrels. Jays probably carry disease, too.

Great Idea No. 1

If I had a chicken, I would name it Sctoo and it would sit at the table and drink tea from a little vase that was excavated from some ruins in Egypt. I would take Sctoo to the spa so that it could get a massage and an exfoliation.

Today

A lot of stuff happens today:

1) My first grad school application is due
2) I have to go on a long run, starting at 8 am. It is 13 degrees, but feels like 0 with the wind chill.
3) My brother's birthday is tomorrow.
4) This is the last Saturday of the fall semester.
5) There is snow on the ground. How romantic.
